Call for Papers and Posters

The Sociedad de Estudios Morfológicos de la Argentina (SEMA) and the International Society for the Interdisciplinary Study of Symmetry (ISIS-Symmetry) are inviting proposals for its 7th Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

We are expecting proposals that stress the links between the sciences and the arts, and highlight the role played by form and symmetry(and its related terms like asymmetry, dissymmetry, harmony, proportion, shape, configuration, etc.) in these intersections.

Your paper should emphasise the intrinsic and vital role of interdisciplinarity in your own research. Your language should be understandable to participants from other disciplines. Joint research papers, across-disciplines, are particularly welcome. We try to keep the discussions as informal as possible.

The events are open for both members and non-members of SEMA and ISIS-Sym. The exhibitions in Buenos Aires are also open for the general public.

Official languages of the conference are Spanish and English.

Plenary lectures will have simultaneous translation.

Please download the Inscription form and send it to  abstracts@formaysimetria.org.ar

For this joint Congress & Exhibition, the SEMA and ISIS-Symmetry Boards wishes to encourage:

Images will be sent both, in the Word file and separately in the size and resolution for printing (300dpi, black/white lines or grey scale). We suggest sending also a .pdf file in order to avoid involuntary changes during the transference of data.

Deadline for submissions for Proceedings publication:
Monday September 17, 2007.
You may send your submissions earlier than the given deadline. No extended abstracts can be published that not respect strictly the required format and the publication deadline.

Extended Abstracts must be sent to:

The abstract will be published only after having paid the fees for the Conference.

Note:
At least one of the authors should pay the congress fees before the deadline. Unfortunately we won’t be able to include late presentations in the proceedings that don’t fulfill the fees conditions.
